The first thing you notice about Bespoke Skin Technology’s products is the sleek, copper coloured packaging. But unlike many skincare brands whose value is limited to aesthetic appeal, Bespoke Skin Technology adds a touch of luxury to everyday life while creating powerful, skin enhancing results.

Inspired by the finding that Australian women age 20 years faster than their international peers, Melbourne based dermatologists Associate Professor Greg Goodman and Dr Katherine Armour set about creating a skincare line that protects the skin from harsh UV rays and other environmental stressors.

In addition to the rose gold containers, Bespoke Skin Technology stands out on a superficial level as there are only four products in the range. This minimalist approach to skincare is very much intentional as throughout their respective careers both Associate Professor Goodman and Dr Armour noted the sense of overwhelm women experience when faced with a complex, product heavy skincare regimen.

‘We’ve formulated the Bespoke Skin Technology range after a combined 40 years of listening to what our patients want from their skincare,’ says Dr Armour. ‘I see women with a wide range of skin conditions ranging from sun damage and acne to skin cancers. They seek products that can multi-task, are luxurious and protect their skin against the sun.’

‘So many women just don’t have the time to apply several skincare products morning and night when they’re juggling family, work and life in general,’ she continues. ‘I’ve lost count of the number of times I’ve been asked, “Isn’t there one product that I can apply that will do it all?” So, Associate Professor Goodman and I decided, “Let’s create this product ourselves.”

‘We wanted to create products that were suitable for all skin types. We decided to work with world leading formulators to bring Australian and New Zealand women an all encompassing, scientifically evidenced skincare range that would provide women with all the ingredients they need to protect against sun and other environmental aggressors, as well as repair previous damage that leads to pigmentation, fine lines and loss of luminosity and plumpness of the skin.’

Bespoke Skin Technology Products

Ambitious a goal as it was, the dermatologists managed to distil the values of quality, results focused skincare into two key products, one for the day and one for the night.

The Complete Daily Armour day cream, $240, employs a combination of zinc oxide, DNA repair enzymes, vitamin D and potent collagen protecting and pigmentation combatting antioxidants to protect the skin from sun and environmental damage, while hydrating the complexion. For such a comprehensive product, Complete Daily Armour is surprisingly lightweight. The formula melts into the skin within seconds of application, leaving the complexion with a subtle touch of radiance.

For night, Bespoke Skin Technology offers the Complete Night Shield Serum, $260. This nourishing yellow hued cream contains DNA repair enzymes to reverse existing DNA damage and GABA to relax the facial muscles that when stressed lead to fine lines. Like the day cream, the Complete Night Shield Serum is infused with antioxidants to protect the skin’s collagen and reduce pigmentation. Meanwhile, retinaldehyde stimulates the production of new collagen and plumps the skin.

These products are supported by the Active Combat Stick, $65, a tinted zinc stick that can be used to conceal, contour or highlight the face, and the Shield and Repair Lip Balm, $42.95, for a plump, natural looking lip finish.

‘The Active Combat Stick is perfect to wear all year round,’ says Dr Armour. ‘It is a light, elegant formula delivering buildable coverage, which won’t block your pores. It stays put in the surf or during a super sweat session. So, your skin can stay protected and look immaculate even under the toughest conditions Australia offers – sun, sand, surf and skiing.’

The Active Combat Stick contains SPF 15, making it a convenient secondary source of sun protection. Its compact size and creamy buildable texture make it perfect for applying makeup on the go.

Everything about Bespoke Skin Technology reflects a deep understanding of what women want from their skincare and a respect for the hectic nature of modern life. Few people now have the time to undertake a 10 step skincare regime day and night, yet without some form of intervention the sun and environment will take their toll on the skin. In two to four simple steps, Bespoke Skin Technology offers much needed protection and desirable results for women of all skin types and lifestyles.
